According to the legend, one of the first explorers of the region, while navigating through the fluvial mazes, came upon a tribe of women warriors – the Amazons. Such a tribe has never been located, but gave the name to the forest and that legend continues to be told to date. The big Amazon Forest is really a place to get to know and explore. It provides four hundred years of legends, discoveries, adventure, dreams and an unforgettable experience.

AMAZON CLIPPER (from Wednesday to Saturday):
Capacity: 16 Passengers.  Boat Style: Regional Riverboat.
Description: 08 double air-conditioned cabins with bunk berths and private toilet facilities. Covered saloon with dining area, bar and library. Panoramic sundeck with 360 panoramic view.
Crew: 01 captain, 03 sailors, 01 cook, 01 English speaking field guide.

AMAZON CLIPPER PREMIUM (from Wednesday to Saturday):
Capacity: 32 Passengers.Boat Style: Luxury Riverboat.
Description: 16 all outside individually double air-conditioned cabins with lower beds and private toilet facilities. Window-lined dining room (air-conditioned) who seats all passengers leisurely at the same time, bar, library, tv/dvd, large covered area for outdoor sightseeing, whirlpools and outdoor showers for refreshing and relaxing. Panoramic sundeck with 360 panoramic view.
Crew: 01 captain, 05 sailors, 03 cook, 02 English speaking field guide.

NOTE: Amazon Clipper Cruises takes place from Wednesday to Saturday. BFirst Travel can also offer longer cruises in the Amazon upon request 5 night cruises

 

Day 1

Manaus / Amazon Clipper - WED

Meeting at the lobby of the Tropical Hotel at 14:00 hrs. Boarding and depart upstream on the Rio Negro while we drink a fresh fruit juice and listen to the information about facilities. After a snack we meet in the leisure room for lectures about Amazon where we will get a good start on understanding Amazon preservation and ecology. After dinner wew will explore little creeks in our canoes and listen to sounds of nocturnal animals with the possibility of observing birds, frogs, snakes and caimans.

Day 2

Amazon Clipper - THU

Early morning we explore the surroundings along the water edge in our canoes while we mainly find fruit eating birds like parrots and toucans. After breakfast we go for a jungle walk and discover many surprising fragances in leaves, fruits, woods and animals. Around midday we return and maybe go for a swim before lunch. In the afternoon we navigate through the Anavilhanas National Park, one of the world's largest fresh water aechipielagos, a labyrinth of waterways. In the late afternoon we embark in the canoes and learn more bout this wonderful nature park.

Day 3

Amazon Clipper - FRI

Early this morning we spend a little time fishing foir piranhas and other fish. After breakfast we visit a Native Community where we find many of the typical Amazonian fruits like Cupuaçu and Tepereba, palm trees like Açai, Tucuma and Pupunha. We learn about the preparation of manioc flour and the health and education situation of the children. After lunch we are landing on one of the white sandy beaches to swim in the dark water and enjoy the Pink River Dolphins. Exploring by canoe and scout for wildlife in the late afternoon. On the way towards the Amazon River dinner will be served.

Day 4

Amazon Clipper / Manaus - SAT

Early this morning we explore the Lago Janauary National Park, This area is usually a very good place to observe wildlife and chances to see the "Victoria Regia", the giant water lilies. During breakfast we navigate to the "Meeting of the Waters", the confluence of the world's two largest rivers, the Amazon and the Negro. Now it is time to return to the Tropical Hotel landing stage while we join fine views of Manaus' waterfront. Arrival at 11:30 hrs.
