Join your cruise in Iquitos, Peru for a 3 night Amazon River luxury cruise exploring the Tahuayo River and the Yacapana “Iguana” Islands, Charo Lake fishing and visits into the Amazon jungle to view Amazon monkeys, three-toed sloth and caymans at home in their habitat. Enjoy watching the infamous Amazon pink dolphins at play in the Amazon. Journey to the Amazon’s headwaters and learn from your naturalist guides about the diverse Amazon wildlife in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.
The M/V Aria can accommodate a maximum of 32 cruise ship guests plus crew. This luxury cruise ship is the perfect size to sail along the Amazon River, providing extremely comfortable lounge, outdoor jacuzzi, exercise room, dining and sleeping accommodations and modern navigation technologies and standards for cruise ship travel and safety on the water.
The M/V Aria’s sixteen oversized cruise ship design suites, feature en suite sitting areas and generous outward-facing picture-windows with panoramic Amazon river views. Each of the handsomely decorated, air-conditioned cruise ship suites measure around 240 square feet.
Approx. 5pm: Arrive at Iquitos and transfer to dock to check in.
Enjoy river activities in the morning and in the afternoon explore the source of the Amazon River.
Today we will join a full day excursion with a gourmet picnic lunch in the Pacaya Samiria Reserve, while we go to look for monkeys and dolphins.
After breakfast we visit the village of Puerto Miguel where we depart from our Amazon expedition.
1:15pm: Transfer to Iquitos Airport.
