4 Day - Buenos Aires Stopover

The City That Never Sleeps!

4 Days

Buenos Aires, ‘the Paris of South America'. Porteños, as the residents are called, number around 13 million and have a rich and diversified cultural identity. Here Italian and German names outnumber Spanish, the lifestyle and architecture are more European than any other city in the Americas. The architecture of Buenos Aires has quite a French influence and the streets, tango bars and cafes give the city a very elegant and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Why not join the Porteños for a coffee at one of the charming cafes, or at a steakhouse for a cut of fine beef for which they are world renowned.
Hotels quoted are tourist, superior and first class categories (similar to 3*, 4* and 5* categories).  The hotels we use are clean, safe, with private facilities and are centrally located.

Day 1

Buenos Aires

Arrive Buenos Aires, the city that never sleeps! You will be transferred to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. Perhaps tonight, enjoy an optional dinner and Tango show.

Day 2

Buenos Aires

A morning tour of Buenos Aires, during which you will see the Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada (Government House), Cabildo (Old City Hall), the City Hall, the Congress set in its impressive Square. Other highlights are the 9 de Julio Ave, the widest in the world; the Colón Theatre, Argentina’s famous Opera House and Palermo. Continue to the very colourful La Boca district - an Italian ‘village’ whose multi-coloured houses have been painted with left over paint from the docks. Many a tango has been danced on its cobble-stoned streets. You wind up your discovery of Buenos Aires in the famous Recoleta District, with its historical and ornate cemetery where Evita Peron is buried, and its elegant shops and cafes. The afternoon has been left free to explore this cosmopolitan city at your leisure.
