8 Day - Belize & Guatemala Mayan Quest

An unforgetable journey through archaeology

8 Days

Discover the Mayan Archaeology sites of Copan, Quirigua, Xunantunish and Tikal.

Few places around the globe offer the world of choices that travellers can experience in Mayan Archaeology, from the cobblestone streets of colonial Antigua, the stunning beauty of Belize's coral reef, solemn Maya ruins to rugged rain-forest adventure.  Closer than you might have imagined, Central America is worlds away.

Day 1

San Pedro Sula / Copan

Meet and greet at San Pedro Sula airport and transfer to Copan Ruinas (approximately 3.5 hours by road).  On the way you will stop at Finca Santa Isabel for the Copan Coffee Tour.  Here you will hike downhill through nice trails and see with your own eyes the process of growing, harvesting and rosting coffee.  You will have lunch at a nice venue within the forest.  Continue transfer to Copan.

After breakfast, you will visit the Main Archaeological Site, the Maya Sculpture Museum and Las Sepulturas, the only resotred Maya residential area. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, you will have the choice between three tours: horseback riding, Tropical Bird Park or the Butterfly Farm. Overnight in Copan.

Day 3
